This wonderful Lodge overlooking Lake Sequoyah in Highlands, North Carolina is available for rent year round.  It has direct access to the lake with its own private dock and canoe.   Swimming, boating and fishing are right on your door step.  (Just remember to go to the local Ace Hardware and pick up your fishing license!)  Perhaps you will even catch a glimpse of the resident beaver swimming at dusk from your vantage point on the dock.

Walk along the lake or take Hickory Hill Road for a leisurely stroll to Mirror Lake from the Lodge.  Are you an avid hiker?  There are many trials in the Nantahala National Forest for all fitness levels.

The Lodge is located about one mile from downtown Highlands for your groceries, shopping and dining needs.  The Lodge is also within walking distance to the renowned On the Veranda Restaurant situated directly on the lake.

The Lodge has a wraparound deck with outdoor dining if desired, along with seating and lounging areas to take in the mountain ambiance. Whether it be spring, summer or autumn; there is always something new to experience.  For those cool evenings, sit by the outdoor fire pit and warm your toes.   The woodpile is stocked and right at your finger tips.

Don’t be concerned if you see one of the local raccoons wandering across the deck or poking their face against the screen door.  They are just working the night shift and stopped by to say howdy… and to have a snack incase you forgot to clear the dining table on the deck!

All the rooms are bright and airy due to the large doors and windows, which can be opened to catch that lovely mountain breeze off of the lake.

The main floor has living room with a vaulted ceiling (open for two stories) with a wood burning fireplace.  The living room can double as a sleeping area with a foldout queen sized sofa.  Entertainment is provided by Cable TV, DVD, VCR, Stereo and High Speed Internet.  The main floor rounded out with a dining room, kitchen, full bath, bedroom with a queen sized bed and laundry room equipment with a washer and dryer.

Upstairs has a loft area for lounging, reading and desk area.  The loft double as a sleeping area with a fold out queen sized sofa.  The is a master bedroom with a king sized bed and Cable TV.  The half bathroom is conveniently located next to the master bedroom.
